There is little excitement in a library, but the TNT TV series "The Librarians" has managed to contradict that popular idea. The sci-fi series, based on a group of librarians, takes its audience through a journey peopled by characters from classics in English Literature.

So far, season 2 of the adventure series has focused on the Shakespearean character, Prospero. Throughout the season, he has managed to create problems and in the season 2 finale, Prospero will test the friendship of the librarians.

The season 2 finale titled "...And the final curtain" depicts Prospero, the villain with magical powers. The character from Shakespeare's "The Tempest" will deploy his magical abilities to create an idyllic utopian forest. This idea emerges from his vision for the world and how the world should be. However, not everyone is pleased with Prospero's vision.

In season 2 episode 10, Eve (Rebecca Romijn) teams up with her love interest Flynn Carsen (special guest star Noah Wyle), to chase Prospero back in time to 1611.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team is stuck in the present and try quite unsuccessfully to reach Eve and Flynn. To be sure, the present is truly horrifying. Prospero goes on a rampage and for the benefit of everyone; he needs to be defeated in the present and the past. However, the characters are left in the dark as they don't know how to defeat him.

Perhaps the show will end with a cliffhanger since the network has renewed the show for season 3.

Season 2 episode 10's synopsis reads:

Prospero gains renewed magic that creates havoc with the world's technology. Flynn and Baird must travel back to 1611 to battle Prospero and thwart his scheme to recreate a forest utopia. The Season 2 finale.
