Barcelona might not be at the top of the standings in La Liga, but just four points separate them from table toppers Real Madrid. Barcelona have 53 points from 22 games, while Madrid, who have played a game more, have 57.

So, when Barcelona play Levante tonight, it's going to have a significant impact on Lionel Messi and company, who have been on a roll lately. They have won their last five games and that too comprehensively.

The game is going to be a tough one for Levante, who would be travelling to Camp Nou, where Barcelona normally demolish their opponents. The trio of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi have a reputation of making life difficult for defenders.

If this is not enough to scare Levante, add Xavi and Iniesta into the mix.

Levante have a lot of work ahead of them. They find themselves in 18th place and are up against teams like Granada and Corboda to avoid relegation.

Levante coach Lucas Alcaraz is aware of the relegation situation and would do everything in his power to continue competing in the La Liga. He is also worried about Suarez, Neymar and Messi.

"Can we stop Leo Messi, Neymar, and Luís Suárez? I hope that turns out to be a long-term problem and that we'll have the chance to come to Barcelona and face those guys every year," he said.

Even history is not on Levante's side for the big game, the team have not won a single game at Camp Nou.

Records are meant to be broken, but one doubts if this one is going to be broken tonight.

Despite being in good form, Barca coach Luis Enrique does not want to take chances against lesser opposition.

"We're in fine form, but I never trust teams that are in a delicate situation," he was quoted as saying by Barcelona's official website.

Barcelona would look to Neymar and Messi to find the back of the net, the pair has been doing so on a consistent basis this season.

Messi has scored 23 goals to Neymar's 16.
