Ahead of the big screen release of Spider-Man Homecoming, Marvel has dropped the first clip from the new Spider-Man animated series. Produced by Marvel Television, the animated series is set to debut on Disney XD this summer.

The first clip shows a teenaged Peter Parker in his prototype suit, trying to handle his powers. Besides that, he is seen fighting one of his arch-enemies -- Scorpion. The animated series adds a bit of comedic punch along with the Spidey's action games.

During the announcement of the series at last year's New York Comic-Con, Marvel Animation's SVP Cort Lane had said: "The simple title reflects a back-to-basics approach – the story of an ordinary teen, Peter Parker, who suddenly finds himself with strange new powers and overwhelming responsibility. And thanks to Story Editor Kevin Shinick (Robot Chicken, Mad) and Supervising Director Philip Pignotti (Marvel's Avengers Assemble) it's just filled with heart and humour."
