The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2016 will be played on US soil for the first time and cricket fans in Florida will hope to witness a fair few fours and sixes. The last time a major T20 game was played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, in Florida, was back in 2012, when West Indies and New Zealand squared off against each other.

Now the BCCI and the WICB officials are in talks to organise another T20 series at the Lauderhill facility in Florida as well.

CPL 2016 will look to draw the attention of a lot of people in the USA.

CPL 2016 is nearing its business end and the battles are getting tougher. While fans in the US will need to wait a little while longer to see Chris Gayle in action, they will, nonetheless, hope for an entertaining game when the Barbados Tridents face the Guyana Amazon Warriors on Thursday, in a match the former cannot afford to lose.

Tridents have been in a bit of fix after AB de Villiers left the tournament. Their middle-order has not done much after the master batsman flew back to South Africa. They will be banking on their other star players -- Shoaib Malik, skipper Kieron Pollard and Ahmed Shehzad to deliver.

On the other hand, Warriors are coming into this match on the back of two consecutive losses. Even if they are placed second in the CPL 2016 points table, they cannot afford to take Tridents lightly in Thursday's game.

Adam Zampa and Sohail Tanvir have been two of the best bowlers in the tournament and they will need to step up once again after those losses. Zampa, especially, has been very accurate with his lines and lengths and has managed to pick up wickets at regular intervals in CPL 2016.

Squads:

Barbados Tridents: Steven Taylor, Shoaib Malik, Wayne Parnell, Kieron Pollard (C), David Wiese, Ashley Nurse, Imran Khan, Akeal Hosein, Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Rampaul, Navin Stewart, Robin Peterson, Raymon Reifer, Shamar Springer, Kyle Hope, Kyle Corbin.

Guyana Amazon Warriors: Sohail Tanvir, Nic Maddinson, Dwayne Smith, Chris Lynn, Rayad Emrit (C), Adam Zampa, Devendra Bishoo, Jason Mohammed, Christopher Barnwell, Veerasammy Permaul, Orlando Peters, Assad Fudadin, Anthony Bramble, Paul Wintz, Steven Jacobs, Steven Katwaroo, Ali Khan, Shimron Hetmyer.
