Jamaica Tallawahs will lock horns with defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders at Kingston on Monday. Tallawahs can reach the top of the CPL 2016 points table for the first time in this season, if they manage to overpower the Knight Riders at their home ground.

Meanwhile, after a terrible start to CPL 2016, the Knight Riders have bounced back strongly and are just two points away from sneaking into the top three of the points table.

Dwayne Bravo-led Trinbago Knight Riders have won two games in a row to resurrect their CPL 2016 campaign. They are coming into this fixture after a thumping victory over Barbados Tridents.

Tallwahs too, picked up an impressive victory over a struggling St Kitts and Nevis Patriots side. In that match, they had to chase down a low total. But during the run chase, they lost four wickets just for two runs on the scoreboard and they were in all sorts of trouble. It was Shakib Al Hasan and Chris Gayle, who helped their side to go over the line.

Shakib and Kumar Sangakkara have also been good in the last couple of matches and they will look to continue with their form against the Knight Riders as well.

For the Knight Riders, Hashim Amla has been outstanding at the top of the order and is one of the highest run-scorers in CPL 2016. If Amla gets going for the Knight Riders, then they can breathe a sigh of relief and that also eases off that extra pressure on the middle-order, which has not been in great touch in this edition of CPL.

This is going to be a tough contest between two-evenly matches sides in CPL 2016. However, either captains are unlikely to make any changes to their squad for this match at Kingston on Monday.

Expected playing XI:

Jamaica Tallawahs: Chris Gayle (C), Chadwick Walton, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), Rovman Powell, Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Russell, Andre McCarthy, Imad Wasim, Dale Steyn, Kesrick Williams, Garey Mathurin.

Trinbago Knight Riders: Hashim Amla, Anton Devcich, Colin Munro, William Perkins, Umar Akmal, Dwayne Bravo (C), Denesh Ramdin, Kevon Cooper, Sunil Narine, Suliemann Benn, Ronsford Beaton.
