Sydney Sixers will host Brisbane Heat in a must-win Big Bash League (BBL) 2015-2016 encounter at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Sunday.

Sixers were ordinary against Perth Scorchers in their last game as they were completely outclassed by the latter. The hosts will have to win their remaining two games at their home ground in order to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

With just two wins from their six games, Sixers are currently placed in the second-last position in the BBL 2015-2016 points table and they still have a chance of making it to the final four in the tournament.

Nathan Lyon will return to the Sixers squad for Sunday's clash and he is aware of the current scenario. The Australian off-spinner is also wary of Chris Lynn's form in the current edition of the BBL.

"This is the start of the finals for us. There's a hope there for us if we come out and perform," Lyon said on Saturday.

"Chris Lynn has been absolutely on fire for them so we're going to have to watch (him) closely."

On the other hand, Heat are reeling at the bottom of the points table. Their hopes of qualifying for the last four was dashed after they were thumped by Adelaide Strikers in the last BBL fixture.

Despite Heats' skipper Chris Lynn being in red hot form with 321 runs at an average of over 64 and the most number of sixes (20) in the ongoing edition of the BBL, the visitors have been outplayed almost in every single match apart from one.

Heat, who have nothing to lose, will play for nothing but to salvage some pride. They will look to spoil Sixers' party on Sunday when they face each other at the SCG.
