Incumbent telco Vodafone is now rumoured to finally join the 'free voice calls offering' bandwagon in the same way as that of counterparts Airtel and Idea Cellular. This offer would be applicable for prepaid customers with a validity period of 28 days similar to other telcos.

As per new rumours, the free voice calls would be applicable to Vodafone 4G, 3G and 2G subscribers across the world. As far as exact recharge options and tariff plans are concerned, the recharge options are variable according to different telecom areas between the Rs 144 and Rs 149 recharge plans. Opting in for these tariff plans would offer limitless local calls along with free STD calls to Vodafone numbers.

Free data offered would be 300MB for 4G subscribers; non 4G users would receive 50MB data valid for 28 days. Even the incoming calls while on roaming would not be charged.

Apart from the above, Vodafone prepaid users could also recharge for Rs 349 (variable as per circles in the range of Rs 344-Rs 349) and obtain as much as 1GB 4G data along with free local and STD calls even to landline numbers throughout India. Non 4G users would be provided 50MB free data. Validity of this pack would be 28 days.
