Boyapati Srinu's Vinaya Vidheya Rama (VVR) has opened to an earth-shattering response at the worldwide box office on the first day. The movie has smashed the collection record of Charan's Rangasthalam.

Ram Charan's association with Boyapati Srinu and his physical transfomation featured in the promos had generated huge expectations and curiosity about Vinaya Vidheya Rama. The hype made its theatrical rights sell at fancy prices and the distributors arranged a record number of screens to cash in on the Cherry mania. The film received decent advance ticket booking for its opening day.

Its screening began as early as 3.00 am on Friday and Vinaya Vidheya Rama witnessed massive amount of footfalls in these special shows. However, the stakes are really high on Vinaya Vidheya Rama, but it has failed to meet the expectations of audience and critics, who are upset with Boyapati Srinu's mindless script and direction. The negative word of mouth is likely to take a toll on its collection on the following days. If it does, the film will incur loss to its distributors.
