Fatherhood is known to be an extremely magical and humbling experience. Bollywood actors have never shied away from publicly acknowledging what it has been like to parent their children—the challenges that come with it, the bittersweet moments, and also the absolutely lovey-dovey bits.

Actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif welcomed their firstborn child, a boy, in November 2025. While they may have been pretty hush-hush about the pregnancy, they were extremely elated to share the news of their child's birth with their fans on social media. They also very recently shared their son's name on their social media handles. Amidst all of these, Vicky has now opened up about what fatherhood looks like to him and the experience he has had so far.

In an interview with Just Too Filmy, Vicky candidly spoke about how he is still in the phase of figuring things out. He went on to describe the experience he has had so far as "magical" and also admitted that even though it is a really beautiful feeling, one might feel unsettled every now and then.

Vicky said, "But I can tell you, it's the most magical feeling. Sometimes I feel I can't describe it in words, the emotions you truly feel, the beautiful adjectives you can't attach to this experience of becoming a father. It's a mix of so many things. You feel unsettled at times. Sometimes, you realise you have to lead by example."

The actor expressed that he has started to savour the moments he gets to spend with his son, and time, all of a sudden, has started to feel very precious, in every sense of the term. Vicky mentioned that post his son's birth, he is extremely scared of losing or misplacing his mobile phone.

He said, "But overall, it feels like time has suddenly become priceless. Your centre changes, and there's always something calling you back. For the first time, I am scared of losing my phone. I never bothered about it earlier, but now I have so many pictures and videos of my baby that I keep thinking, 'Bas phone na kho jaaye' (I hope I just don't lose my phone). You crave that time with your child. It's extremely precious. It has truly been my biggest blessing."

Vicky and Katrina welcomed their child on November 7, and just two months later, on January 7, they shared his name with the world. Even though they did not share a picture of what he looks like, they shared an adorable photograph of both of them holding Vihaan's tiny hand. Not just fans, but in fact Aditya Dhar, who was the director of 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', has noticed a connection between Vihaan's name and Vicky's character's name in the film, which was Major Vihaan Shergill.
