The United States has removed four Indian companies from its Russia-related sanctions list, providing relief to firms that had previously faced restrictions over allegations of supporting Russia's military-industrial base. The decision was announced by the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) as part of an update to its Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List.
The four companies delisted are Hyderabad-based RRG Engineering Technologies Private Limited and Lokesh Machines Limited, Ahmedabad-based Galaxy Bearings Ltd, and New Delhi-based Shaurya Aeronautics Private Limited. All four had been designated under Executive Order 14024, which forms part of the US sanctions framework targeting Russia. Their removal means they are no longer subject to the sanctions imposed under that programme. However, OFAC did not disclose the reasons behind the decision.
The companies were sanctioned in 2024 over allegations of supplying technology and equipment with potential military applications to Russian entities. Galaxy Bearings was accused of exporting high-priority dual-use roller bearings and assemblies, while Shaurya Aeronautics allegedly supplied radar and radio navigation equipment to Russia. RRG Engineering Technologies was accused of shipping microelectronics to a sanctioned Russian company, and Lokesh Machines was alleged to have exported machine tools to Russian manufacturers.
The delisting comes as OFAC updated its sanctions programme while simultaneously expanding measures against alleged members and associates of Mexico's Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The US sanctioned two Mexican nationals and nine entities linked to the cartel under counterterrorism and anti-narcotics authorities.

Separately, OFAC released its quarterly report covering licensing activities from January to March 2026 under the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act (TSRA), detailing applications related to exports of agricultural commodities, medicines and medical devices to Iran.
The latest update reflects Washington's ongoing review of its sanctions regime. While the removal of the four Indian firms offers relief to the affected companies, the US has continued to expand sanctions against entities it alleges are involved in illicit activities and sanctions evasion.
