Iran said on Tuesday that the death toll from the US-Israel strikes has risen to 787, Reuters reported, citing the Iranian Red Crescent.

India advises nationals in UAE to avoid non-essential travel amid regional tensions

The Indian Embassy has urged all Indian nationals in the United Arab Emirates to avoid unnecessary travel, remain vigilant, and strictly follow safety advisories issued by UAE authorities and the mission.

In a statement, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai said they continue to function normally and will provide updates as required.

In a fresh advisory on Tuesday, India asked its nationals in the United Arab Emirates to "avoid unnecessary travel" and "remain vigilant" amid unrest in the Middle East region.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, held a telephonic conversation with Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs regarding the evolving situation in the region.

Dubai Media Office said on X: "His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, held a telephone call with His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs of Oman. During the call, the two sides exchanged perspectives on the fast-evolving situation in the region and discussed regional security issues. Both leaders also highlighted the value of sustained engagement and joint efforts to safeguard stability and prevent further escalation."

The fire at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone in the UAE was caused by drone debris. Operations resumed after the blaze was doused, AFP reported, citing the media office.

A senior commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force was killed in an Israeli Navy strike in Beirut on Monday, the Israel Defense Forces said.

According to the IDF, the strike targeted Reza Khazaei, who headed the Quds Force's efforts to help rebuild Hezbollah's operational strength and served as chief of staff of its Lebanon Corps.

The IDF said Khazaei played a key role in coordinating between Hezbollah and Iran, acting as a bridge between the group's operational needs and Iranian resources, The Times of Israel reported.

Lebanese Army pulls back border troops after Israeli 'escalation'

Lebanon's army has redeployed troops from several recently established positions along the border following what it described as an Israeli "escalation," a military source told AFP.

According to the Lebanese military, eight to nine soldiers stationed at each post were withdrawn to their bases due to safety concerns.

The development came after Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said he had authorised the army to take control of additional strategic positions inside Lebanon.
