Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump leading the United States elections has surprised people across the world. Trump is leading the electoral votes by 244 winning major states like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio and Florida, while the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton currently stands at 215 votes.

Soon after news of Trump leading the presidential elections broke, international markets across the globe witnessed a fall, Asian markets were trading sharply lower, and Dow Jones futures were down as much as 800 points in after-hours trading in the US, the New York Times reported.

The immigration website of Canada also crashed because so many Americans wanted to move to the country dreading the thought of Trump becoming the next commander-in-chief of the US.

Hopes that Clinton would easily defeat Trump appear to have crashed with Trump winning the support of citizens across the US.

Indians, who have also been following the US elections with much enthusiasm, seem to be disappointed with Trump's lead and the thought of him becoming the next president of the United States of America. Many took to Twitter and Facebook to express their disappointment with the results.
