In a recent incident, an UFO has been spotted hovering around the Hinckley area, United Kingdom. The unidentified object was spotted by a male, who reported the sighting to Leicestershire UFO Investigation Network (LUFOIN), according to Hinckley Times.

The organization on their official Facebook page said that "large pulsating bright red light in the sky" was seen near Jelson Estate on 1 May 2014. The witness reportedly saw what looked like an alien spacecraft in the night sky at 9.55 pm.

"I was just drawing my bedroom curtains when my eyes were drawn to an extremely vivid red light that was flying towards the east, very low in the sky - just above the rooftops. I opened the window to listen for sound, but there was nothing - just silence. I watched the object moving very slowly through the sky for about five minutes until it finally disappeared behind St Mary's Church." said the witness.

"The witness is a regular astronomer who is aware of what is in the sky, so we are taking notice of what he is saying. One thing that is unusual is that he couldn't get his binoculars to focus but of course he could have just knocked them in the excitement." said Graham Hall, volunteer at LUFOIN.

It could have been an airplane but what is strange is that the witness was unable to hear any sound. People often report of seeing red lights, which are common in the sky as planes have red lights but it's strange as witness has seen only red lights. Planes have green or white lights too, explained Hall.

"We have investigated and we think it was about 500ft in the air - just above the rooftops. We want people to come forward if they have seen this aircraft or anything else unusual so we can investigate further. This way we can gather evidence and do some triangulation." Hall added.

Similar sightings have been reported in the past. An UFO sighting was spotted recently hovering and spinning over an iceberg of Canada, as reported by Mirror Online.

Some people believed that the object could be a mirage or it can be a flag, but the YouTube user who posted the incredible video says that he saw the object spinning. While driving around the area, the person looking at the iceberg, noticed a mass of ice flying that appeared narrowly attached to an iceberg. About 45 seconds after the object was spotted, another object flew down and sank into the water.

Again on 9 May 2014, a strange hole was observed in the cloud over Stockton, Northern California. Images of the weird object made people wondering what must have caused the phenomenon. It was then explained by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as the "hole punch cloud," which is formed when the white could temperature drops below the freezing point, forming ice crystals. The evaporating crystals leave behind a hole in the cloud.
