Udhampur came under another terror attack on Thursday, with gunshots reported in the Basantgarh area in the night.

Terrorists attacked a police post in Basantgarh, and at least two police officers have been injured, as per reports.

A police encounter is now underway. There are about three to four terrorists. 

One of the police officers injured was Special police officer (SPO) Gul Mohammad, Hindustan Times reported. 

Till the time of reporting, a gun-battle between the militants and security forces in Basantgarh was still on.

The terror attack comes just a day after two terrorists opened fire on a BSF convoy in Udhampur on Wedneday, killing two jawans. 

One of the militants was killed, while one was captured alive.
