Virat Kohli was delighted after he met Sir Vivian Richards ahead of the first Test match against West Indies in India. Kohli also went past 3000 runs in the longest format of the game. A fantastic ton from Kohli powered India to 302 for the loss of four wickets at Stumps on day one at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Thursday. Kohli is still unbeaten at the crease on 143 and the Indian fans will want him to reach his first double hundred in Tests on Friday.

Kohli (74.00*) now has the second highest average as captain away from home (minimum of 10 innings) after Sir Don Bradman (85.63).

Kohli became the third Indian captain to score a century in West Indies in Tests after Kapil Dev (100* in 1983) and Rahul Dravid (146 in 2006). He also became the eighth batsman to score a ton in his maiden Test as captain in West Indies.
