TVS Motors has tied up with online marketplace Snapdeal to sell its motorcycles and scooters online in India. Nine models of TVS, including the Star City+, Sport, Pheonix 125, Apache RTR 180 and Apache RTR 160 motorcycles, and the Scooty Pep+, Scooty Zest, Jupitor and Wego scooters, have been listed on the website. Prospective customers will be able select a vehicle, book it by paying the booking amount online and select a dealership of their choice for delivery.
"We are excited to partner with Snapdeal to expand our reach with online channel for our two-wheelers. With Snapdeal's extensive reach and a robust technology platform, we see immense value in our partnership," said JS Srinivasan, vice-president of sales and services at TVS, in a statement.
Newly launched TVS models Apache RTR 200 4V and Victor have been not listed in the website. These models are expected to join soon.
TVS also sells its products via online retailer Flipkart. All of TVS' two-wheeler models on Flipkart have been listed with a booking amount of Rs 3,000. The website confirms delivery of two-wheelers in 10 to 11 business days, and cash-on-delivery option is also available, depending on the area where the delivery of the bike is to be made.
Snapdeal Motors sells two-wheelers from Hero, Honda and Suzuki as well.
