BMW Motorrad has released a promo video of its upcoming low-displacement compact roadster the G 310 R, showing the motorcycle in some action.

The promo video of the new G 310 R highlights the features of the model. The G 310 R, the end product of an Indo-German alliance- BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company is the first product of BMW to be to be manufactured outside of Europe. The G 310 R will be made in India at the TVS Motor Company's facility.

Built on a steel trellis frame, BMW G 310 R will be powered by the all-new 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with four valves and two overhead camshafts, together with electronic fuel injection. It develops an output of 33.5bhp at 9,500rpm, and maximum torque of 28Nm at 7,500 rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox and has backward-tilted cylinder in open-deck design with the cylinder head turned 180 degrees.

The German bikemaker's smallest capacity motorcycle is expected to be showcased at the upcoming auto Expo 2016 which is scheduled in February. Rumours are rife that TVS-BMW G 310 R will get a price tag of under 2 lakh in India when launched.
