Handwara militant attack ends, 3 militants killed

Handwara, Dec 03 (ANI): The 15-hour gunbattle between the militants and the Army and police forces in Handwara area of Jammu and Kashmir ended on Tuesday, killing three militants, said a police official. Forces launched the joint operation on Monday night after finding that militants were hiding in a forest village in the Handwara region. The firefight entered a residential house which was completely destroyed in the operation. The identification is yet to be established, said police official. Dec 3, 2013
