Salman Khurshid stressed on need to spread awareness on minority welfare schemes

New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): While addressing mediapersons in New Delhi, Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid said we need to create more awareness among the minority groups about various welfare schemes. He mentioned that discussions have also been held about compensation being provided to those who are falsely accused of involvement in criminal cases. While addressing minority concerns, Khurshid also focused on the issue of women welfare in the minority groups. Chairman of the Minority Department of AICC, Khurshid Ahmed Saiyed, emphasised on making a manifesto that focused on the problems faced by minorities. Dec 24, 2013

Koraput, Dec 24 (ANI): The Maoists set ablaze two vehicles in the Koraput district of Odisha as a mark of protest against the construction of a road in the district. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Laxmipur, Jalandhar Jali, confirmed the same. The camp of a contractor near Karli village was raided by the rebels and they torched a tipper and a JCB (Joseph Cyril Bamford) machine parked nearby. Molla was hanged on December 12, the first war crimes execution in Bangladesh. He was accused of collaborating with Pakistani forces during 1971 Liberation War.
