The life story of Indian boxing champion Mary Kom is the subject matter of the film. Chopra, who will be seen playing the role of the boxer in the film, started the event by singing a song of her movie. Also present at the event was the boxing star herself who praised Chopra for portraying her role on screen. She said Chopra was the perfect choice to depict her real life saga. While Priyanka said that she identified with the role because both she and Kom have certain similarities in their lives. Hailing from the insurgency-prone India_s northeastern province of Manipur and the mother of two, Kom is five-time women_s world boxing champion and Olympic bronze medalist.
