Two policemen were found shot dead in Turkey's Ceylanpinar town close to the Syrian border on Wednesday, a couple of days after a deadly attack in Suruc.

The Turkish police officers were found dead in their home in Ceylanpinar, which is in the southeastern Sanliurfa province, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

Both the men, who were riot police officers, reportedly had gunshot wounds on their heads.

The governor of Sanliurfa region, Izzettin Kucuk, told local news channels that there was no clarity if the attack had "terrorist connections", according to AFP.

On Monday, 32 people were killed in a suspected Isis suicide bombing in neighbouring Suruc during a gathering of youth volunteers of Federation of Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF) and Kurdish supporters.

Ceylanpinar is 120 kilometers away from Suruc.
