Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav are here to give a scary dose of love and entertainment to the audience on Valentine's Day with 'Tu Yaa Main'. The Bejoy Nambiar film marries romance with a survival drama and the result has left everyone divided. Even though Shanaya and Adarsh have tried to give the film their best, the loopholes and the dated plot seem to have missed the mark among the audience, majorly.

Many have called the film heavily inspired by The Pool and many have slammed the juggernaut pace at which the film moves. This is Shanaya Kapoor's second film after 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' opposite Vikrant Massey in 2025. Adarsh Gourav who has given some hard-hitting performances in the past, seems to have lacked a bit this time. Let's take a look at what social media users have said about the film.
Social media reactions
"Solid climax & croc vs human faceoff, but slow and predictable overall," read a comment.
"Tu Yaa Main is a terrible film, and I honestly can't believe the makers thought this would work. It feels like they assume the audience won't notice that it's almost a complete remake of The Pool (Thai movie), with just a few scenes from the actors' personal lives added," another comment read.
"Both characters feel weak, and the forced heroic moment at the end is meaningless. Overall, it's totally not worth your money," a social media user wrote.
Tu Ya Main was a good one time watch.

ADARSH as expected was phenomenal and Shanaya?
Wow girl you were not as bad as I thought.
The pregnancy troupe is cliche and the first part was kinda not completely fitting the vibe but the second makes up.
The chemistry was kinda fine too.
"Terrible screenplay leads to a disaster verdict. Don't watch such film which doesn't even serve 10 % of entertainment," another social media user commented.
"Very fast screenplay in first half and very slow screenplay at second half ... Shanaya I feel from Khushi Kapoor's academy. She looked good but she needs to improve so much. Background music is average. Direction and screenplay weak... music was too bad," read a comment.
"Director Bejoy Nambiar shows strong control over tone. He allows scenes to breathe and trusts the audience to stay engaged, especially in the first half where tension builds gradually. The second half is tighter and more gripping. The film also benefits from effective background score, which enhances the unease," read another comment.
"Tu Ya Main could have been much better. As of now it's a pure horror movie. Didn't like it," was one more of the comments.
The film sees a tough competition from Vishal Bharadwaj's 'O Romeo' starring Tripti Dimri and Shahid Kapoor.
