Apple Store in China

In September, we witnessed many companies unveiling new smartphones at the world renowned IFA 2015 event. Now, in October, Microsoft, Google and other tier -1 brands are expected to roll out their new line of flagship devices in the market.

Here are some of the most expected smartphone launches in October 2015:

LG V10:

South Korean consumer electronics giant, LG will the first launch a new smartphone in October. The company is rumoured unveil a new flagship V10 series on 1 October. It is said to sport a 5.7-inch QHD (aka 2K: 2560x1440p) screen and boast ticker display (similar to Samsung Continuum, 2010).

For the uninitiated, this secondary ticker screen-panel is dedicated solely for displaying updates, SMS, RSS notifications and other high-priority apps for sports updates and social networking posts.

Microsoft Lumia 950 series

Software technology giant Microsoft is the sole Tier-1 brand left to unveil its flagship device for the year 2015.

The company has confirmed to host an event in New York City on 6 October. Going by reports, Microsoft in all probability will launch the new Lumia 950 and its phablet sibling Lumia 950 XL.

The main USP of the Lumia 950 series devices is said to be the PureView camera and Iris scanner (Infrared based) security feature.

YU Yutopia

Micromax's online smartphone brand YU Televentures Ltd has confirmed that the company will launch a new smartphone, Yutopia in October. It is said to come with a powerful hardware to give stiff challenge to the recently launched OnePlus 2.

Apple iPhone 6S series

Apple's iPhone 6S series is currently available in select developed markets and now the company has confirmed to widened the rollout process to 50 plus regions from 9 October onwards, including India where it will be available from 16 October [Check out the list of countries, HERE].

Google Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X

Google's new Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X are now available for pre-ordering in a handful of regions and shipments is expected begin only in the middle of October.

Just like Apple, the search engine giant will also try to expedite the release program in more number of regions by October-end.

As far as India is concerned, LG Nexus 5X - 16GB and 32GB - will cost Rs. 31,900 and Rs. 35,999 respectively. On the other hand, Huawei Nexus 32GB and 64GB will set you back by ₹39,999 and ₹42,999 respectively, reported Android Authority.

Both the devices are expected to hit stores by the end of October in India.

Sony Xperia Z5 series

Sony's new Xperia Z5 series made its official debut at the consumers electronics trade fair IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2015.

Now, Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact are set to hit stores in select regions across the world in October. Ultra-luxury model Xperia Z5 Premium (world's first 4K display smartphone) will be made available in November.

Xiaomi Mi 4C

While the flagship Mi 5 series is due for launch in November, Xiaomi is expected to release the recently unveiled Mi 4C in India next month, As of now, the company is not sure about rolling out Redmi Note 2 in India any time soon as it is yet to settle the Ericsson patent case.

There is a high probability that the company will release Mi 4C in India in October.
