Thugs of Hindostan (Thugs of Hindustan) is almost dead at the box office with its collection not even reaching Rs 2 crore mark during the weekend.

The movie had made a record of becoming the highest ever Hindi opening day grosser with a collection of over Rs 50 crore at the Indian box office. However, Thugs of Hindostan had started showing signs of collapsing right from the second day.

Its earning had dipped almost by 50 percent on day 2, and since then it went on decreasing with each passing day. After completing the first extended weekend with a collection of Rs 119 crore at the domestic market, the Aamir Khan starrer went on a sharp decline during the weekdays.

Thugs of Hindostan has now completed its second weekend with extremely low numbers. With screen count reduced to around 1,500 from initial 5,000, the period drama collected Rs 2.25 crore (approximately) at the domestic market on its day 11 (second Sunday), according to Box Office India.

Its total 11 days Indian box office collection now stands at around Rs 145 crore (including Tamil and Telugu), and considering the current trend, Thugs of Hindostan will struggle to cross even Rs 150 crore mark.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#ThugsOfHindostan [Week 2] HINDI: Fri 1.30 cr, Sat 1.70 cr, Sun 2.40 cr. Total: ₹ 140.35 cr. TAMIL + TELUGU: Fri 4 lakhs, Sat 5 lakhs, Sun 6 lakhs. Total: ₹ 5.60 cr. #Hindi + #Tamil + #Telugu total: ₹ 145.95 cr. India biz. #TOH."

Made at a whopping budget of Rs 300 crore, the big movie was expected to set new box office records, but it turned out to be a complete disaster for the producers. Thugs of Hindostan is still being run in certain limited screens as there are no big releases, but it will be completely washed away after the release of 2.0 on November 29.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the movie featured Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
