Twitter is abuzz with photos and videos of an invitation card worth Rs 1.5 lakh claiming to be that of industrialist Mukesh Ambani's eldest son Akash 's wedding. However, the card going viral on social media is not of Akash's wedding.

The wedding card was said to be one of the costliest in India. Several social media users had compared the cost of the invitation card to Apple iPhone X. It was also claimed that gold was used to make the card, which was carved exquisitely. Different videos on the card were also being shared on social media.

However, a source from Reliance termed it as "hoax" and told IBTimes India that the wedding card is not of Akash's wedding.

Here is what the Twitter users said.

Mukesh Ambani, the chairman, managing director and largest shareholder of Reliance Industries Limited, is the richest person in India. The Ambani family is the richest in Asia and live in "the most outrageously expensive property" Antilia, but that doesn't mean they own most of the expensive things in the world.

Earlier, social media was abuzz with the news that Mukesh's wife Nita Ambani uses an iPhone 6 worth $48.5 million, but the report was debunked later.

Expensive wedding invitation card

Last year, a video showing the card of the daughter of former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy had taken the social media by storm.

The card, which is said to be one of the most expensive cards, had a little LCD screen that gave a small teaser of "Bramhani Weds Rajeev Reddy."
