UK Prime Minister Theresa May said she was glad the other 27 EU national leaders will meet without her to discuss Brexit negotiations on 15 December, saying it was only right that they prepare as well. She also reaffirmed Britians intentions of invoking Article 50, but refused to be drawn on the question of how long negations would take. A British EU envoy was quoted as saying it cold take up to 10 years for Britain to negotiate a new trade deal with the EU.
