Tesla has arrived in Bengaluru, but not in the way it arrived in Mumbai or Gurugram with a flagship store. Elon Musk-backed automaker came up with its first-ever pop-up experience in Bengaluru, hinting at electric vehicle maker's gradual expansion across India. The Tesla Pop-Up will be hosted at the ACKO Drive Service Centre, Kudlu Gate, from January 15 to January 31, 2026, offering Bengalureans their first opportunity to interact with the brand in a physical retail format.
The pop-up will showcase four Tesla Model Y vehicles, allowing visitors to explore the cars through guided walkarounds, immersive demonstrations, and one-on-one interactions with Tesla representatives. Customers can learn more about Tesla's design philosophy, electric powertrain technology, safety systems, and performance capabilities in an interactive environment designed to build awareness around electric mobility.
As part of the experience, customers can book test drives through the Tesla India website and drive the Model Y between 10am and 9pm during the pop-up period. Tesla says the initiative is aimed at helping potential buyers better understand electric driving, charging behaviour, and long-term ownership benefits.
Model Y: Tesla's flagship for India
Tesla Model Y, the world's best-selling vehicle in both 2023 and 2024, sits at the centre of the Bengaluru showcase. The vehicle has earned 5-star safety ratings from multiple global safety agencies and is positioned by Tesla as a benchmark for safety, efficiency, and advanced technology.
With access to Tesla Supercharging, the Model Y can gain up to 267 km of range in just 15 minutes, enabling convenient long-distance travel. Tesla's "Plug In, Charge and Go" system is designed to reduce friction around EV charging and improve usability for everyday driving.
Tesla has also confirmed that Model Y in India comes with home charging support, aiming to simplify the ownership experience and address infrastructure concerns often associated with electric vehicles.
