Tata Motors' upcoming Nano Twist Active has been snapped undergoing tests in the country once again.

Spotted by CarWale in Maharashtra, the test mule of Nano was fully covered. However, it isn't difficult to figure out the styling and proportions of the car from the spy images. The new avatar of Tata's least expensive car is expected to hit Indian showrooms by mid-2015.

Judging from the images, Nano Twist Active seems to have gotten a reworked front and rear bumpers with smoked headlamp units and openable boot lid. Inside the cabin, the new Nano is expected to get three-spoke steering wheel and updated dashboard.

Although the engine specifications of the new Nano Twist Active are still not known, rumours are rife that a new 624cc petrol engine, which can churn out a power of 37.4 hp @5,500rpm and a peak torque of 51Nm at 4,000rpm will feature in the model.

Apart from the styling and mechanical changes, the new Nano's colour palette is also likely to include new colours. Previous spy shots have shown the Nano test mule in black body paint.

First showcased at Delhi Auto Expo 2014, Tata Nano Twist Active is likely to fall in the price range of ₹2.38 to ₹2.45 lakh. Currently, Tata retails Nano STD, Nano CX, Nano LX, Nano CNG CX and Nano CNG LX variants in the country.
