Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan's film "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" captivated viewers with its storyline and witty oneliners, and now the film has impressed trade experts by entering in the ₹100 crore club.

"Tanu Weds Manu Returns" has become the first film of 2015 to enter the coveted ₹100 crore club with its domestic earnings. After four months, the domestic box office has got it's first ₹100 crore grosser.

"#TanuWedsManuReturns crosses ₹ 100 cr in India. Emerges the HIGHEST GROSSER of 2015 + BIGGEST HIT of 2015 [so far]. Note: Hindi films," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

The romantic comedy film directed by Anand L Rai continues is the box office winner this year. Till the second weekend, the film earned ₹98 crore and adding Monday's income the film has touched the century club.

"#TanuWedsManuReturns to cross ₹ 100 cr mark in India today [Monday; Day 11]. The film is UNSTOPPABLE. Next target: ₹ 125 cr," Adarsh tweeted.

"#TanuWedsManuReturns has a SOLID Weekend 2: Fri 6.65 cr, Sat 9.40 cr, Sun 12.25 cr. Grand total: ₹ 98.37 cr. India biz. BLOCKBUSTER," Adarsh tweeted the second weekend box office figures of the film.

Another box office analyst Joginder Tuteja confirmed that the film has entered the century club.

"As I write this, #TWMR has done 100 cr in India. @aanandlrai #Himanshu #Kangna @actorMadhavan @KrishikaLulla @deepakdobriyal - All rejoice," Tuteja added.

Talking about the box office performance of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", independent distributor and box office analyst Suniel Wadhwa told Business Standard that the Kangana and R Madhavan starrer is the first super-hit film of 2015.

"The movie had strong brand equity. That combined with great reviews and positive word of mouth promotion for its witty screenplay and dialogue has ensured that the movie will hold well over the next few weeks. A total of ₹100 crore is virtually guaranteed in 11 days (since release) making it the first bona fide super hit of 2015," he told the daily.

Apart from the lead actors, the film also features Jimmy Shergill, Eijaz Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles.
