Psychological suspense thriller "Talaash: The Answer Lies Within" is currently dominating the ticket collection window in India and in international markets. Reema Kagti's directorial film is doing fanastic business at the box offices.

The Aamir Khan starrer in its first weekend collected Rs 47.1 crore at the domestic box office, and raked in Rs 6.74 crore on Monday, taking the overall domestic box office total to Rs 53.84 crore.

The murder mystery collected Rs 13.5 crore on its opening day, Rs 15.5 crore on Saturday, Rs 18.1 crore on Sunday and Rs 6.74 crore on Monday. It witnessed extraordinary growth on weekend, especially on Sunday.

"#Talaash Mon 6.3 cr. Total: Rs 53.4 cr nett. Holding well at multiplexes of urban centres," trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"Talaash" has witnessed an amazing turnout at multiplexes and average to good at single screens, according to Adarsh.

However, after an amazing weekend, the business of the film witnessed a considerable fall on the first Monday. On Sunday it collected Rs 18.1 crore and on Monday the business dropped by Rs 11.36 crore

Meanwhile, the movie has become one of the biggest openers in international markets. The suspense thriller had a great opening weekend earning good figures. It collected Rs 27.57 crore ($ 5.034 million) in the first weekend from 43 countries.

The movie was released on Nov 30 across 2500 screens in India and 520 screens overseas on Friday. Besides Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor, it also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Raj Kumar Yadav, Shernaz Patel and Bengali actor Subrat Dutta in supporting roles.
