Malayalam comedy entertainer Swarna Kaduva, starring Biju Menon in the lead, was released all over Kerala on Friday, November 4. It has become the biggest release of the actor in his career with a massive screening in 104 theatres with 455 shows on the opening day itself.
The Jos Thomas directorial enjoys a solo release and is expected to attract the viewers on the first day itself without any other biggies hitting the theatres in Kerala. Moreover, since the success of comedy entertainer Vellimoonga, Biju has become a bankable actor in the industry, with his movies doing decent business at the box office in Kerala.
In an exclusive interview with International Business Times India, Poojitha had said that apart from comedy, the movie also revolves around a mystery with a few suspense elements. It is also said to be conveying an important social message.

Swarna Kaduva stars model-turned-anchor Poojitha Menon and Iniya in the female lead roles, and veteran actor Innocent plays a pivotal role in it along with Suresh Krishna, Sudheer Karamana and Kottayam Nazeer in other roles. While Babu Janardhanan has penned the script, cinematography has been handled by Manoj Pillai and Gopi Sunder and Ratheesh Vega have done its backgrund score and music composition, respectively.

Swarna Kaduva is a watchable average film that has a properly structured story to its credit. The ultimate one liner is quite similar to the 2006 M Padmakumar film and that in a way is the merit and demerit of this movie. When compared to the last films of the hero, director and writer, this one is definitely a better one.

The highlight of the movie is humour and brilliant performances by Biju Menon and Hareesh Perumanna. They both have good chemistry together and it has been utilised efficiently in the movie. Iniya delivers a noteworthy performance while Innocent's character is a tailor made one for him. The director has only done a pretty average job as he could have created magic with proper homework.
