Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, who is the latest to join PM Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Mission, has accepted the invitation of Anil Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Group, who had nominated him as his 9x9 ambassador to spread out the #SwachhBharat campaign.

Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna thanked Anil Ambani for inviting him to join the Swachh Bharat cleanliness mission.

The Tollywood Superstar tweeted "#Nag4SwachhBharat Thank you @anilambani1959 for keeping faith and inviting me to the clean india movement/I accept the challenge Anil:)."

Nagarjuna said he is proud to spread the awareness about a Clean India, according to a press release.

"It is a pride, and a huge responsibility. My vow is to find ways to engage people and sustain the awareness as well as create millions of #SwachhBharat ambassadors," the actor stated.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna said that India will enter the list of the clean nations in the world. "While I travel abroad, I always wonder how clean some countries are, now with Clean India Challenge, I am confident and optimistic if every citizen takes part in #SwachhBharat Campaign seriously, India is not very far to get listed in one among the clean Nation in the world," the "King" star added.

Nagarjuna was last seen in blockbuster film "Manam", which also starred his late father Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Following the huge success of his debut TV reality show, the actor-turned-host has put his film career on hold to concentrate on the season 2 of "Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu", which is all set to light up the small screens across the globe.

The actor has signed to star in debutant director Kalyan Krishna's film, "Soggade Chinni Nayana", which is expected to hit the screens in 2015. Besides acting, he is also producing the film under his home-banner Annapurna Studios.

He is reportedly playing double roles as grandfather and grandson, while Ramya Krishnan and Sonal Chauhan appear in the female leads in the film.
