The epic finale of "Survivor: Worlds Apart", which marked the thirtieth season of the reality show, aired on 20 May, Wednesday. A clear fan-favourite played well enough to win over the majority of the jury votes as well.

"Reunion" brought all 18 cast aways together, where the sole survivor of season was revealed to be Mike Holloway from Blue Collar tribe. Runner Ups Carolyn Rivera and Will Sims II, both tied at second place with one vote each, whereas Mike won a majority with six votes. The blue collar contestant wins not just the tag of the sole survivor, but also a cash prize of one million dollars.

Mike truly was the "Survivor" of the season, having outwitted, outplayed and thereby outlasted everyone. He weeded out his major threat Joe, won five immunity challenges, worked relentlessly around the camp, found a hidden immunity idol and played it at the right time, clawed his way back on top when his back was up against the wall and played the game till the end.

In the "Reunion" episode, a few controversial comments made by the contestants -- Will, Dan and Rodney -- were addressed. Although Dan made a heartfelt apology to Shirin for saying  "someone should slap Shirin", Will, who verbally assaulted her, did not seem genuine in his apology; at least Shirin did not think he was.

After an interview with all the contestants of "Survivor: Worlds Apart", host Jeff Probst revealed all the contestants who will be participating in "Survivor: Cambodia", also dubbed as "Second Chance". The cast aways for the upcoming season are:

Joe Anglim, Vytas Baskauskas, Spencer Bledsoe, Jeremy Collins, Terry Deitz, Ciera Eastin, Stephen Fishbach, Tasha Fox, Abi-Maria Gomes, Woo Hwang, Kimmi Kappenberg, Peih-Gee Law, Kass McQuillen, Keith Nale, Shirin Oskooi, Monica Padilla, Andrew Savage, Jeff Varner, Kelley Wentworth, and Kelly Wiglesworth.

The upcoming season of "Survivor" will be filmed between 1 June and 8 July, and will be aired on CBS in the summer of 2015.
