Following the release of the first DLC for Super Smash Bros. there was an update on both 3DS and Wii U versions, simultaneously. However, some new information has come to light following data mining done by some fans.
This data mining was done by Reddit user, shinyquagsire23. The Reddit user found them when he was reportedly looking in the update of the Nintendo 3DS version. Below is what he found:
The above data mine has Ryu listed twice and also have Roy in the list. However Roy of Fire Emblemhas been in Melee before.
The list consisted Ryu who was speculated to be either Street Fighter Ryu or Ninja Gaiden Ryu, but Attack of the Fanboy said that the sound file of SF2 suggested Street Fighter Ryu. The Reddit user also releases some sound files that consisted of a Ryu's stage theme along with others.
The Reddit user was contacted by Polygon where he said that the files were legitimate. Nevertheless after the Rayman fake, it is very difficult to say anything for sure unless there is official information on it.
Mewtwo DLC Bug Affecting Play
The first DLC to Super Smash Bros. brought Mewtwo DLC however, some players on the Wii U are unable to play the online version due to the Mewtwo DLC bug.
Some players are complaining about a bug affecting their play. Though players are not affected when Mewtwo is downloaded and they go online. The issue affects when they use him in a specific game mode -- 10-Man Smash mode under Multi-Man Smash. Here the saved data is getting corrupted and is affecting the online play. Many players have even received error messages that read, "You have been disconnected because of irregular save data."
However, there is no fix for this situation as yet so it would be better for players to avoid using Mewtwo in that particular game mode.
The first DLC added six new eight player stages, game balance, share mode and ability to purchase DLC directly from Nintendo eShop.
