
Sunny Deol's Border 2 is scheduled for a grand release in 4,800 cinema halls with 17,000 shows per day in the domestic market. The movie has record breaking advance booking for its opening day.
Border 2 has cleared the formalities and received U/A Censor board. With a runtime of 199 minutes, the movie is ready for release on January 23.
Border 2 is a sequel to the super hit movie Border. The film is carrying a huge buzz, as all the songs from its earlier part and new songs like Mitti ke Bete have clicked among audiences. The star power of Sunny Deol, backed by Varun and Diljit too, gives an extra edge to the film. Its trailer received a fabulous response. The film is heading towards a blockbuster opening.
The hype has helped the movie get a huge amount of advance booking for its opening day. The distributors have arranged over 4,800 cinema halls. Sumit Kadel tweeted, "With just a day to go before its release, #BORDER2 is witnessing strong momentum at the box office."

As per early predictions, Border 2 is set to collect Rs 35 crore at the Indian box office on the first day. Rohit Jaiswal tweeted, "Border 2 opening... ₹35cr as day one is CONFIRMED. From here on fight will be to cross ₹42cr and come as close to ₹47cr on Day One..... Border 2 is all set for a TERRIFIC OPENING at the Box Office."
The bigger question remains, will Border 2 beat Sunny's Gadar 2 record.
Border 2 is an action war drama film, which has been written and directed by Anurag Singh. The film is about young Indian fighters who are prepared to protect their homeland from a greater threat during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Sunny Deol, Sonam Bajwa, Ahan Shetty, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Medha Rana have played the lead roles in the film.
