Mammootty's "Pathemari", Mohanlal's "Kanal" and Prithviraj Sukumaran-Indrajith Sukumaran and Jayasurya starrer "Amar Akbar Anthony" are set to hit theatres soon. Even before the release, the satellite rights of these films have been bought by Sun Network.

Sun Network's Malayalam channel Surya TV has also bagged the satellite rights of Asif Ali's "Kohinoor", Dileep's "Life of Josutty", among the latest Malayalam releases.

The Dileep starrer has been bought for a whopping Rs 5.5 crore.

Pathemari

Salim Ahamed's "Pathemari", which tells the story of Kerala migrants in the Gulf countries, is all set to be released on Friday, 9 October. The real life story missed the Oscar nomination by a whisker. The film also has Jewel Mary, Sreenivasan, Joy Mathew, Salim Kumar, Balachandra Menon and Siddique, among others, in pivotal roles.

Earlier, the Malayalam entertainment channel had also bought the satellite rights of Mammootty's latest film "Utopiayile Rajavu".

Amar Akbar Anthony

Comedian and singer Nadirshah's debut directorial venture "Amar Akbar Anthony" will be released on 16 October and will later be aired on Surya TV. The comedy entertainer is the second outing of the trio after Lal Jose's hit film "Classmates" in 2006.

Kanal

Mohanlal starrer "Kanal", which also has Anoop Menon, Honey Rose and Sheelu Abraham in main roles, will be released on 23 October. The satellite rights of Mohanlal's previous release "Loham" was bought by Asianet and Kairali TV.
