Srinivasa Kalyanam day 1 box office collection: Nithiin starrer fails to beat CMR opening record

Srinivasa Kalyanam has got an average opening as it failed to cross the expected collection at the worldwide box office on the first day. The movie had also failed to beat the record of Nithiin's Chal Mohan Ranga (CMR).

A Aa was a blockbuster success for Nithiin, but his next two releases --Lie and Chal Mohan Ranga -- bombed at the box office, causing a huge setback for him. The actor chose a safer route – a family drama -- for his next outing in a bid to avoid a hat-trick of failures. The promos of Srinivasa Kalyanam had garnered positive responses, raising the bar of curiosity and expectations from the movie.

However, Srinivasa Kalyanam opened to an average response in both single screens and multiplexes in the morning shows on the first day.
