After Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, fans of MCU will look forward to Spider-Man: Far From Home. As Marvel Cinematic Universe is entering into a new phase, fans should expect something new with Far From Home when it comes to Peter Parker and Mysterio.

In the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, Jake Gyllenhaal is going to portray the role of Quentin Beck/Mysterio. As per Marvel Comics, Mysterio is the alter ego of a Hollywood stuntman and FX wizard, Quentin Beck, who dreams of becoming a big star in his life.

However, due to the lack of acting talent and poor FX skills, Beck is not able to live up to himself, until he gets an idea to use his craft as a tool for committing crimes.

As per the comics, he does not have any super powers per se but he is a great chemist, illusionist, and a hypnotist.

Mysterio was earlier considered to be a foe to Spider-Man, but it looks like Marvel is going to change the character's arch in the upcoming superhero movie.

Spider-Man: Homecoming star Jacob Battalion, who plays Ned in the movie, stated recently that Mysterio is going to be on the good side this time, contrary to the comic books.

"It's basically just about the kids going on a European vacation. We go to London, we go to Prague, we go everywhere," Batalon said during Brazil's Comic-Con CCXP. "It's just a really fun thing. There's a lot of dynamics that go on. A lot of relationship stuff. A lot of cool funny stuff. A lot of fun stunt stuff."

"The main focus is for him not to be Spider-Man per se, but he gets dragged into it. But you know, he reluctantly saves the world again with Mysterio. Mysterio's a good guy in this, they're both teaming up to kill the game, to defeat these Elemental monsters."

While talking about Elementals, Jake Gyllenhaal explained that they are the threat to the world and his character is the one who knows about them in detail. In the movie, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is going to ask him to help him understand them, reports Collider.

"And he teams up with the Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man and unfortunately he has to make him become more than just a Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man," he added.

Spider-Man: Far from Home is all set to release on July 5, 2019.
