Sharwanand's Shatamanam Bhavathi is set for a grand release in theatres during Sankranti in 2017. The movie will clash with Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150 and Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Satakarni.

Shatamanambhavati is touted to be a romance drama, which will be a treat for family audience. Satish Vegesna, who earlier assisted Harish Shankar, is the director of the film, which went on floors earlier this year. Sharwanand and Anupama Parameswaran are set to start the final schedule of shooting, which will be held in Godavari from November 2.

Dil Raju is producing Shatamanambhavati under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC). The producer has announced its release date on the official Twitter handle of SVC. Besides posting a still from the movie, he wrote: "Last schedule shoot of #ShatamanamBhavati starts tomorrow in picturesque locations of Godavari districts. Sankranthi 2017 release."

"Bommarillu is a film that is very special for us. It explored the relationship between a father and son in a beautiful way. Now we are producing the film Shatamanam Bhavathi, which is a movie that will explore the dynamics of the relationship between a grandfather and a grandson. We are expecting Shathamanam Bhavathi to bring our banner the same kind of accolades that Bommarillu did," producer Dil Raju said in a statement to International Business Times, India.

Mickey J Meyer is the music director, while Sameer Reddy is handling the camera for the movie featuring Prakash Raj, Jaya Sudha, Sivaji Raja and Indraja in important roles. Aditya Music has bought its audio rights for a whopping price and it has planned to release its music album into the market soon. The film is scheduled for release in the second week of January, 2017

Khaidi No 150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni are the 150th and 100th movies of megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna, respectively. There is huge hype surrounding these movies as they are set to be landmark films in their careers. Since they will also hit screens during Sankranti, it should be seen whether Shatamanam Bhavathi would stand the wave of Chiru-Balayya's movies.
