India's premier domestic tournament, Duleep Trophy's schedule has been announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

This tournament will kick-off from August 17 and will take place in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu.

As has been the norm over the years, the tournament will see the participation of the three teams. India Red, India Green, and India Blue.

India Red are the defending champions as they shrugged India Blue by 163 runs last year when the final took place at the Lucknow International Cricket Stadium.

Earlier in the day, the three different squads were also announced. Faiz Fazal, Parthiv Patel, and Abhinav Mukund will lead the three teams.

While Fazal tasted success with Vidarbha earlier this year when they created history by clinching the Ranji Trophy for the first time, Parthiv Patel has been a brilliant leader for Gujarat and was one of the favourites to tour England with the Indian side but then lost his place to Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant. Abhinav Mukund is a veteran in the domestic circuit and is also the captain of Tamil Nadu. Like Patel, he too missed out on the opening berth in the squad to take on England.

All the matches will be played with a pink ball and will take place at the NPR College Ground in Tamil Nadu's Dindigul, which is currently one of the marquee venues for the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League
