Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju has crossed the A$2.4 million mark at the Australia box office in 38 days and shattered the lifetime collection record of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (Bahubali 2).

Australia is one of the crucial international markets for Hindi and Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor have a huge fan base in this region. The distributors had released the movie in over 60 screens across the country on June 29. And the hype helped the movie register good advance booking for its opening day

Sanju had opened to fantastic response and collected A$931,947 (Rs 4.71 crore) at the Australia box office in the first weekend. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer went on to fare well and collected A$ 555,658 on the weekdays. Its first week total collection was A$1,487,605.

With no big ticket releases, the biopic of Sanjay Dutt kept the cash registers ringing at the ticket counters in the country. Sanju collected A$668,598 at the Australia box office in its second week and its 14-day collection reached 2,156,203. The film took eight days to cross the A$2 million mark in the country.

The Rajkumar Hirani-directed movie clashed with Soorma, Dhadak, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3, Karwaan, Fanney Khan and Mulk, which took a toll on its collection in the following weeks.

Sanju collected A$252,922 at the Australia box office in the next three and half weeks. Its total collection has reached A$2,409,125 in 38 days. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer has smashed the record of the Hindi version of Baahubali 2, which collected A$2,407,933 at the Australia box office in its lifetime.
