CBFC receives complaint against 'Sanju'

Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju continued to keep the cash register ringing at the domestic box office in the third week and smashed the lifetime collection record of Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 21 days.

Having done brilliant collection in weeks, Sanju clashed with Soorma, which reduced its screen count by 50 percent in its third week. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer witnessed a steep decline in its collection on its third Friday, but it showed decent growth over the weekend. Its collection dropped on Monday and it maintained rock-steady on the following weekdays.

The Rajkumar Hirani-directed biographical movie collected Rs 21.46 crore in the third weekend and Rs 8.75 crore on the weekdays in the domestic market. Sanju has collected Rs 30.21 crore net at Indian box office in the third week. Its breakup is Rs 4.42 crore on Fri, Rs 7.75 crore on Sat, Rs 9.29 crore on Sun, Rs 2.50 crore on Mon, Rs 2.25 crore on Tue, Rs 2 crore on Wed and Rs 2 crore on Thu.

Sanju has collected a total of Rs 325.57 crore net at the domestic box office in 21 days and its gross total has reached Rs 417.40 crore. The movie has shattered the record of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was the fifth all-time highest grossing Hindi film with its lifetime collection of Rs 320.34 crore in the domestic market.

Now, Sanju is heading to beat the lifetime records of PK and Tiger Zinda Hai in the coming weeks. The movie needs to collect Rs 15 crore to smash those movies. In its fourth week, the film would clash with Dhadak, which has hit the screens across the country today. It should be seen whether it beat them or not.
