World's leading smartphone maker Samsung has reportedly set the date and venue for the launch of its much-awaited Galaxy S4 smartphone.
Samsung community website SamMobile claimed that New York City will host the launch event of the next generation Galaxy S4.
Without revealing much, Eldar Murtazin, Editor-in-Chief of Russian popular website Mobile-Review.com tweeted, "Save the date for a big announcement- March 14 ", referring to the Samsung launch event.
During the past few months the internet has been buzzing with speculations about Galaxy S4's specs and launch details. The hype surrounding the device has turned even more overwhelming after Samsung dethroned its rival Apple as the number one smartphone maker last year, thanks to the 30 million sales record Galaxy S3 had hit within five months of its release.

Samsung is expected to send invitations for the Galaxy S4 launch event soon after the international mobile convention MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2013 in Barcelona comes to a close on 28 February.
Galaxy S4 is expected to initially hit stores in Asia and Europe around the end of April. Other markets such as the US, Australia, and Africa are expected to receive shipments around May or June.
