World smartphone leader, Samsung today (29 December) launched the third variant of flagship phablet Galaxy Note 4.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE is said to boast Tri-band Carrier Aggregation (CA) technology. Apparently this high-end technology merges three different frequency bands in to a single frequency enabling the device's modem chip to clock close to 300 mbps download speed and theoretically it can even breach 450 mbps speed.
"The LTE-A Tri-Band CA smartphone is a meaningful advancement in mobile and telecommunications technologies, and demonstrates Samsung's long-term commitment to providing innovation within the telecommunications industry," said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics.
According to AndroidOS.in, Samsung Note 4 S-LTE will be sold via major carrier network firm – SK Telecom in its home market South Korea. However, the details of the device's price and release date are still under wraps.
Besides the new network boosting technology, other internal hardware specifications of the phablet will remain the same. It will sport 5.7-inch QHD display, Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, 3GB RAM and 3220 mAh battery.
