Specifications of the rumored Galaxy Tab S slates have surfaced online just few hours ahead of the Samsung GALAXY PREMIERE 2014 event in New York City (NYC).

Prolific Twitter spy, @evleaks has released the alleged features of the Galaxy Tab S tablet PCs. He says the devices would come in two variants - 10.1-inch and 8.4-inch models.

Depending on the markets, both the devices are expected come in two variants - one having 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 series quad-core CPU and another comes packed with Samsung's in-house built Exynos series Octa-core processor (4x 1.9GHz + 4x 1.3GHz).

As reported earlier, they are said to boast of WQXGA screen with 2560 × 1600p display resolution, Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, 3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), 8.0-megapixel main camera, 2.0-megapixel front camera.

To compensate respective display power usage, 10.1-inch model will ship with 7,900 mAh battery, whereas the 8.4-inch variant will house a 4,900 mAh cell.

Word on the street is that the high-end Galaxy Tab S series devices would also boast of bio-metric technology based of finger-print sensor (probably on the home button), ultra power saving battery mode, download booster which are seen on the company's current flagship smartphone Galaxy S5.

The South Korean company is all set to host the GALAXY PREMIERE 2014 event at Madison Square Garden complex (The Theater), NYC, evening local time around 19:00 PM EDT, (04:30 PM IST, 13 June in India). The event coverage will also be streamed live at Samsung Mobile YouTube Channel, Samsung Mobile UK, Samsung Mobile India and at the official blog, Samsung Tomorrow.

Besides Galaxy Tab S series slates, Samsung is also expected to pull the wraps off the long rumored Galaxy S5 Prime/ Galaxy F at the NYC event.

Galaxy F aka Galaxy S5 Prime is said to flaunt a metallic back-cover shell with a 5.2-inch 2K (2560 x 1440p) resolution screen on the front and run on the latest Android update v4.4.3 KitKat OS out-of-the box.

Other expected specifications include 3GB RAM, 32GB, 16.0-megapixel primary camera (with OIS, ISOCELL) and 2.0-megapixel front camera and the phone is said to come in two CPU variants – one with new Octa-core processor (Exynos 5430) having 2.1GHz quad-core Cortex A15 CPU & 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A7 CPU backed by 600MHz Mali T6XXX GPU and another variant with Snapdragon 805 series quad-core chipset with Adreno 420 graphics engine.
