Samsung's much anticipated Galaxy S6 is reported to set foot in India more than a month after 1 March launch.
IBNLive, citing sources, said Samsung's 2015 flagship smartphone is pegged for release in the second week of April and the Galaxy S6 pre-order service will go live in mid-March.
IBTimes India did an independent investigation and got in touch with a company insider. We too got a confirmation that the Galaxy S6 will in deed hit Indian stores around mid-April. However, the source refrained from revealing the details of the device's price and specific time-line of the release.
As per the latest reports, Samsung Galaxy S6 is said to be a huge upgrade over its predecessor Galaxy S5, both in terms of design and internal hardware.
Internally known has 'Project Zero', Galaxy S6 is said to boast 5.1-inch Quad-HD (2560x1440p) display with 540 plus ppi (pixels per inch) resolution.
Other expected features include Exynos 7 Octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, a 20mp camera on the rear side, a 5mp snapper with f/1.8 aperture on the front, 32GB/64GB/128GB memory, 2,550mAh battery and Cat 10 4G-LTE network support.
Beside the new Galaxy S6, Samsung is also speculated to announce a limited edition Galaxy S6 Edge.
It learnt that the Galaxy S6 Edge will have dual-edge display; where-in phone's screen will be curved on both right and left side.
Extra space on the both edges are said to be utilised to house illuminated icons (shortcuts) for easy access to user's favourite apps.
