Price details of the Samsung's recently unveiled Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has surfaced online.
Technology blog iGyaan citing sources has claimed that the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge would set foot in India on 10 April with prices starting from ₹52,999 and ₹61,999 respectively.
This revelation comes as a surprise considering that 2014 flagship smartphone Galaxy S5 – 3G & 4G- models were released for ₹51,500 and ₹53,500 in India respectively, which makes us to suspect whether the above report is genuine or not.

Our doubts stem from the fact that Galaxy S6 (& S6 Edge) is constructed using premium metal with Gorilla Glass 4 shield (both front & back), whereas its predecessor was made from plastic.
So, we expect the new sixth generation models to cost more. And more over, the new Union Budget 2015, which is expected to take effect from 1 April will shoot the prices of the new Samsung devices thanks to increase in custom duty on imported products.
We like to advise our readers to take this report on Galaxy S6 series price with a pinch of salt, but we are certain that the Samsung flagship smartphones will hit Indian stores in the second week of April.

For the uninitiated, Samsung Galaxy S6 sports a 5.1-inch QHD (2,560x1,440p) display with pixel density of 577 ppi (pixels per inch).
S6 Edge too features same display resolution, only difference is that the screen stretches to both right and left side edges.
Both the devices come packed with 14-nm class 64-bit Exynos 7 octa-core processor with 3GB LPDRR4 RAM, UFS 2.0 series super-fast memory chips -32GB/64GB/128GB storage options, a 16mp camera and a 5mp snapper on the front.
