Expectations on the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S6 are sky-high following several reports claiming that it would come with a significant change, including design and specifications. There is also report that the flagship smartphone will have some exclusive features not seem in its predecessor, the Galaxy S5.

The Galaxy S6 will be unveiled at Samsung's "Unpacked 2015" event on Sunday, 1 March, at the Mobile World Congress 2015 (MWC 2015) to be held in Barcelona. The flagship smartphone is expected to be released a few weeks after its announcement.

The next-generation smartphone is expected to have at least two features not seen in its predecessor. According to a report by Phone Arena (via DDaily.co.kr), the new device will have mobile payment system and fingerprint scanner, a shift from swipe scanner used in current devices.

"The new mobile payment system doesn't require NFC to be built into phones, but mimics a credit card swipe instead, so it could be accepted at much more merchants than Apple Pay worldwide, currently to the tune of 10 million," claimed the website. "Samsung does plan on offering extra security authentication via the fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button."

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to come with features like 5.5-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixels (587 ppi pixel density), Exynos 7420 processor, and Android 5.0 Lollipop, according to AnTuTu benchmark as reported in Chinese website CNMO (via Phone Arena). It is also reported that the device would come packed with 32 GB internal memory, 3 GB RAM and microSD up to 128 GB, and 20 MP main camera with 4992 х 3744 pixels and optical image stabilization (OIS), and 5 MP front snapper.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has features like 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (432 ppi pixel density), Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Android 4.4.2 KitKat (upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop), 16/32 GB internal memory, 2 GB RAM and microSD up to 128 GB, 16 MP main camera and 2 MP front snapper, and Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery.
