Reigning smartphone leader Samsung has launched the new Galaxy S6 Edge+ in India.

Galaxy S6 Edge+ was unveiled along with Galaxy Note 5 last week in New York City and now the company has confirmed that the only 32GB storage-based Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be made available in India for now.

It will hit stores on 28 August and will be available for Rs 57,900. Interested buyers can register for the device starting Wednesday (19 August) HERE.

However, there is no word on when Samsung would release the Galaxy Note 5 in India, but it is believed that the company will rollout the flagship phablet next month. Stay tuned for more update on this.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

In terms of exterior look, Galaxy S6 Edge+ resembles a stretched version of the original Galaxy S6 Edge (5.1-inch) with dual-edge display wherein phone's screen will extend towards the edge on both right and left side.

And in terms of internal hardware, S6 Edge+ and the Edge boast almost same specifications, except RAM and battery capacity. The former houses bigger 3000 mAh battery and 4GB RAM, whereas the latter features 2600 mAh battery and a 3GB physical memory.

It boasts 16mp camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), 4K video recording ability and a 5mp snapper on the front.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5:

Galaxy Note 5 flaunts a 5.7-inch super AMOLED QHD (2560x1440p) display and house the company's proprietary Exynos 7420 SoC (System on Chip) backed by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB inbuilt storage options and 3000 mAh battery.

Though Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ feature a low-capacity 3000 mAh battery, the company has promised the devices will come with advanced battery charging technology. Both the devices can be fully charged in approximately 90 minutes of wired charging and through Samsung's latest wireless charger, they can be fully charged in approximately 120 minutes.

All New S-Pen:

Galaxy Note 5 comes with the new fifth generation S Pen. It comes with unique clicking mechanism that helps users pull S Pen out with just one quick click. The users can also quickly jot down ideas or information when the screen is off without even unlocking the phone. The 'Air Command' feature gets more intuitive and practical as well, now the icon hovers for instant access to all of S Pen tools from any screen at any time. The users can also annotate on PDF files and capture lengthy web articles or long images at once via 'Scroll capture', said the company.
