After announcing the price details of the premium metal-clad Galaxy A8, Samsung has also launched a new budget smartphone, the Galaxy Grand Prime 4G, in India.
The Galaxy Grand Prime 4G is the second variant of the Galaxy Grand Prime 3G, which was released in September 2014. The new smartphone houses an advanced and faster 4G (Cat. 4) connectivity support. With this feature, users will be able to enjoy up to 150 mbps download and 50mbps upload speeds.
Other specifications of the devices remain almost the same.
The new smarthpone sports a 5.0-inch qHD (960x540p) TFT screen, comes packed with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB) and a 2600 mAh battery.
It also ships with an 8mp camera on the rear-side and a 5.0-megapixel front camera with wide-angle (85-degree) lens.

The new Samsung Grand Prime 4G comes in three colour variants - Gold, White and Grey - and is available at Samsung's official India e-store for Rs 11,100.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G will be up against the Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen), Moto E (2 Gen), Xiaomi Redmi 2, YU Yuphoria and others.
